It makes it possible to produce reconstructive custom made plaques directly from a computed project that can precisely recreate the bone profile of the patient (after xrays exams) and computed tomography.
The oncological facial surgery has to deal with a simultaneous recostruction of the defect after the surgical resection because otherwise the aesthetic functional, chewing, language, swallowing would result disabling for the patient after the operation. The method we study and we suggest makes it possible through modern techniques (CAD) and (CAM) to produce recostructive palques (custom-made) directly projected by computer which perfectly recreate the bone profile of the patient, after TC computed tomography.
The custom made cuts guides are devices that carry out the resection of the face ct leading the instruments with specific ribbings.
These devices are projected through computer and realized through 3D specifically on the patient and based on the resection borders for his/her cancer pathology.

The custom made osteosynthesis methods are titanium or other metal plaques and grids realized through laser-sintering technique. On the basis of 3dimensional recostruction it is possible to virtually plan the recostructive plaque that reproduces the bone profile of the patient.
The bone continuity is achieved through a self-transplant ot a leg bone or hip bone. As there is a close corrispondence between the surgical guides and the recostructive plaques, the cancer resection and the bone recostruction are accurately in harmony.
